Actor and stage artist Alleppey Sudarshan has alleged that actress Navya Nair and her father ignored and hurt him, recalling his association with the actress from her childhood, when he taught her mono act. Sudarshanan made the allegations in an interview with a YouTube channel, where he spoke about his early association with Navya, who he said was known as Dhanya at the time.

According to Sudarshanan, Navya was studying in Class 5 when a dance teacher identified her talent and asked him to train her in mono act. He said he was told that the child could not afford the fees and that he would be paid something later if she succeeded. The first item he taught her, he said, was Kunthiyum Karnanum, with which Navya won first place in a competition. Sudarshanan said he continued to train her as she grew older.

Sudarshanan recalled meeting Navya before she left for the shooting of Ishtam, saying she came to him for his blessings before leaving. He later went to the location of Nandanam to teach her another item, which, according to him, earned her first place at the state level.

It was around this time, Sudarshanan said, that he had an experience that continues to hurt him. He claimed he asked Navya's father to buy him a pair of clothes after she won first place at the state level.

"I told Navya's father, 'Sir, Navya has won first place at the state level. Buy me a pair of clothes.' Clothes are available even for Rs 100 on the roadside. But the words he told me still hurt me," Sudarshanan said.

He claimed Navya's father told him that they did not have any money, even though Navya was coming from the Nandanam location where Sudarshanan had gone to teach her.

Sudarshanan also recalled an incident in Paravur, where he said he was asked to come to a lodge to teach Navya. He claimed he waited at the reception for a long time but was neither given a room nor asked to wait somewhere comfortably.

He said that when he asked around 7.30 pm whether Navya had arrived, he was told that she had come earlier. When he asked to meet her, he claimed her father asked him to wait.

"I hadn't even eaten. At around 8.30 pm, I called again and was asked to wait for five more minutes. Five minutes, 10 minutes and then an hour passed," he said.

Sudarshanan said he eventually got a room and was told that Navya was practising dance and that he should wait. According to him, he was called around 10.30 pm. When he went to meet them, he said he found their food containers and claimed that everyone had already eaten.

He alleged that nobody asked whether he had arrived or whether he had eaten. Sudarshanan said he had not eaten anything and that there were no tea shops or hotels nearby, leaving him to spend the night hungry.

The following morning, he said, Navya left for the location as she had to be there by 6 am. He claimed her father later gave him Rs 500 towards his travel expenses.

Sudarshanan said he was happy when Navya won first place in the competition. However, he claimed that when journalists asked for a photograph with Navya, her father told him there was no need for it and that Sudarshanan could go and take one himself.

"After that, until this moment, I have neither called Navya nor seen her," Sudarshanan said.
