Kaylee Hottle, popular actress of Godzilla vs Kong fame, dies in fatal car crash

LOS ANGELES: US actress Kaylee Hottle, popular for her role in the Godzilla vs Kong movie series, died in a fatal car crash at Ijamsville on Tuesday. She was 18.

Hottle portrayed Jia in the movie and also appeared in the sequel Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire in 2024. Police officials blamed "excessive speed" for the accident.

"Our hearts are with Kaylee's family, friends, classmates, and everyone who knew and loved her during this incredibly difficult time,” said The Texas School for the Deaf, where Hottle, a deaf person herself, studied.

Hottle’s role in the 2024 sequel earned her a Saturn Award nomination for best younger performer in a film.
