'Nedumkandam Miracle': Mohanlal and Dileesh Pothan announce milestone first collaboration

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Malayalam cinema icons Mohanlal and director Dileesh Pothan are set to collaborate for the first time on an upcoming feature film titled 'Nedumkandam Miracle'. Mohanlal officially announced the project and unveiled the title through his social media accounts.

The film marks the directorial return of Dileesh Pothan, five years after the release of his acclaimed 2021 drama 'Joji'. Having delivered three consecutive critical and commercial hits in his directorial career, Pothan’s new venture with Mohanlal has generated immense anticipation among film enthusiasts.

The screenplay for 'Nedumkandam Miracle' has been jointly penned by National Award-winning writer Syam Pushkaran and Paulson Skaria. The film is being produced by Achu Baby John under the banner of John Mary Creative, marking the production house's next major venture following the Mohanlal-starrer 'Malaikottai Vaaliban'.

An elite technical crew has been assembled for the project. Sushin Shyam will compose the music, while Shyju Khalid has been roped in as the cinematographer. Saiju Sreedharan will handle the editing, and Ajayan Chalissery will serve as the production designer. The film will be distributed across theatres by Bhavana Release.
According to the official announcement, the movie will be filmed across various locations, including Thiruvananthapuram, Idukki, and Chennai.
