Mini-screen’s favourite ‘tom boy’ Soumya VS marries longtime beau Gautham in intimate ceremony

KOZHIKODE: Popular Malayalam television actress V.S. Soumya has tied the knot with fitness trainer Gautham. The wedding, which took place in a simple ceremony, was attended by close relatives and friends. The marriage marks the culmination of a six-year-long relationship between the couple.

Soumya garnered widespread attention in the mini-screen industry through her distinct 'tom boy' style and strong character roles. She became a popular figure among television audiences with her portrayal of 'Kani' in the Asianet serial Teacheramma. Her popularity grew further through her performance as 'Kallu' in the Kaumudy TV serial Ladies Room. Apart from television serials, she has also starred in several well-known web series.

A native of Anakampoyil in Kozhikode, Soumya was an accomplished athlete during her student days. She achieved success at the national level, winning a bronze medal in the pole vault event. After completing her Bachelor of Commerce degree, she worked in a corporate firm for about two years before pivoting to the fitness industry to pursue her passion.

As a professional Zumba instructor, Soumya initially built a substantial fanbase on Instagram by sharing fitness and dance videos, which eventually paved her way into the acting profession. Her family consists of her father, mother, and a younger brother.

After making her mark on the mini-screen and social media, the actress is now gearing up for her big-screen debut. She will be stepping into the cinema industry with the upcoming movie Law and Order, directed by Ranjith.
