11 killed in fire at coaching centre building in Uttar Pradesh; many injured

LUCKNOW: In a tragic incident, at least 11 people were killed after a massive fire broke out in a building housing a coaching centre in Lucknow. The incident took place in the Aliganj area of Lucknow. The fire first broke out on the third floor of the three-storeyed building and later spread to the other parts.

The building, located in a commercial area, housed several shops, including a pet shop, along with the coaching centre. Many people were trapped inside the building after the fire broke out. Several people who jumped from the first floor, where the coaching centre was operating, suffered injuries. The fire continued for more than an hour before police and fire force personnel reached the spot and brought the situation under control.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak visited the site and reviewed the situation. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed officials to contact the families of those who died and provide all possible assistance.
