BENGALURU: A Lucknow-bound IndiGo flight was grounded at Kempegowda International Airport after cabin crew discovered a handwritten hijack threat inside one of the aircraft's lavatories. The threat note was found shortly before departure from Terminal 1, prompting security officials to initiate an immediate emergency evacuation. All passengers were taken off the plane safely and moved back to the terminal.
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel and airport bomb disposal units have isolated the aircraft and are conducting a complete security sweep. Investigators are currently screening the passenger manifest and examining cabin access logs to identify who placed the note. Security agencies confirmed that the aircraft will remain grounded until full clearance is granted.
