KOZHIKODE: Travel between Bengaluru Airport and Kerala is set to become easier. The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will launch its first-ever Flybus service to Kerala on Friday. The new daily service will connect Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru with Kozhikode. A 41-seater bus will operate on the route.
The bus will first pick up passengers from Terminal 1 of the airport and then stop at Terminal 2 before beginning its journey to Kerala. The Flybus will leave Bengaluru Airport at 10:45 pm and reach Kozhikode at 7:15 am the next day.
The bus will stop at the following locations along the way:
Mysuru - 2:45 am
Hunsur - 3:30 am
Gonikoppa - 4:15 am
Kutta - 4:50 am
Mananthavady - 5:20 am
Kalpetta - 6:05 am
Thamarassery - 6:30 am
The return service from Kozhikode will depart at 7:30 pm and arrive at Bengaluru Airport at 5:15 am the next day. On the return trip, the bus will also stop at Nayandahalli Metro Station in Bengaluru city, making it easier for passengers heading into the city.
The return schedule includes:
Kalpetta - 8:40 pm
Mananthavady - 9:15 pm
Kutta - 10:15 pm
Gonikoppal - 10:50 pm
Hunsur - 11:00 pm
Mysuru - 12:30 am
The ticket fare for the Bengaluru Airport–Kozhikode journey has been fixed at Rs 1,550. The new Flybus service is expected to be especially useful for passengers arriving at Bengaluru Airport who usually depend on expensive taxis to reach Kerala.
