Minor girl gangraped in front of male friend while returning after tuition

CHANDIGARH: A 13-year-old girl returning home after tuition was gangraped in front of her male friend at Greater Faridabad in Haryana. The girl was gangraped after the accused saw her and her male friend aged 16 entering an abandoned building following their tuition classes. The accused followed them into the building, threatened and then sexually assaulted the girl.

The incident happened on August 24. The girl was sexually abused by six people. The two had initially kept the incident hidden from their parents. It came to light after the girl showed signs of severe emotional distress, prompting her mother to ask her what had happened. The family then filed a police complaint.

There were also allegations that the accused had assaulted the 16-year-old boy, but the police denied this claim. Following the complaint, police registered an FIR and arrested three of the accused.
