'Hello, Uncle': LoP Rahul Gandhi reveals his favourite BJP leader

NEW DELHI: Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi responded to an Instagram query to reveal his favourite politician in the BJP. Rahul Gandhi waited no second to name the former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh as his favourite politician in BJP. His revelation was made in a conversation with students and the Gen Z generation on Instagram.

“I have a good personal relationship with him; he is very cool and has a lot of knowledge in military history. So I like him a lot.” The video ended with Rahul saying, "Hello, Uncle," to Amarinder.

Senior Congress leader Amarinder Singh left the party in 2021 after he was removed from the post of Punjab Chief Minister. He then formed his own party. Later, this party merged with the BJP in 2022. Amarinder Singh had recently said that Rahul Gandhi had called him directly on his birthday to wish him well. Amarinder praised the personal relationships and said it was seldom seen within the BJP.
