'Will not apologise to RSS or BJP'; LoP Rahul Gandhi makes stance clear

NEW DELHI: Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi said he will not apologise for the allegations made against Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Parliament. Rahul Gandhi revealed that the Speaker told him personally that he would be allowed to speak in Parliament if he apologised for the statements. Rahul Gandhi reiterated that he would never apologise to the RSS or the BJP. He also demanded that the government take responsibility for the pellet firing on students during the protest demanding the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan.

Rahul alleged that he saw Amit Shah calling police officers on the phone in Parliament and Jitendra Singh receiving Amit Shah's calls repeatedly. Rahul Gandhi was talking at a press conference by showing pictures of those injured in pellet firing.

The Leader of the Opposition was not allowed to speak today. Union Ministers Rijiju and Rajnath Singh were allowed to speak several times today. Rahul said retaliatory measures are being taken against the students by the government. Rahul Gandhi also demanded that an independent high-level committee investigate the attack on students under the supervision of the Supreme Court. The leader of the opposition also demanded that the RSS members be removed from the heads of educational institutions.
