The horrific incident in Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar is now igniting debates on social media. On Friday afternoon. the Khawadya Hill in the Tisgaon area turned into a griefland, with stunned faces following the tragic death of three from a family.

As per sources, a teen boy reached the hill around 10:00 am on 21 August, after his parents told him they won’t pay the EMI for the iPhone he purchased. After news reached about the teen's whereabouts, police, fire brigade personnel, villagers and the sarpanch arrived in the area in a bid to pacify the youngster.

The talk went on for over three years, while the teen kept on rejecting whatever offer was put forward by others. Even the emotional attempt by Sarpanch, asking the boy to look into his mother’s face, failed to move the teen, who remained steadfast in his threat to jump.

To all the pleas, the teen returned, “I’m here to die, and that is the only way to settle the issue”. The security personnel even prepared a net to catch the teen but failed to move it in time, as they didn’t anticipate the matter would suddenly turn worse.

After 1 pm, the father of the teen slowly walked to the edge and tried to drag his son back. But this also turned into a realisation for the father of who was stronger between them. The teen pulled his father towards him, and the next thing, the two were gone. The people nearby gasped in shock, while others were in disbelief to even respond. However, the mother of the teen who saw the two fall from the cliff let out a scream and ran straight to the edge to jump before anybody could save her.

The visuals of the tragedy, shot from different angles, appeared on social media in no time. It was too disturbing to even debate the issue, as a simple tiff over a phone wiped out a family of three. Many opined that teenagers with raging hormones are not going to obey anyone and think they are always right. Meanwhile, others questioned how a 17-year-old boy could have such an obsession with phones. Some others wanted to know if there was anything besides the phone story which may have triggered the boy to make this evil decision. However, nobody is going to know about it.
