CHANDIGARH: A 26-year-old teacher was stabbed to death by a youth, who had been stalking her for two years. The incident happened in Faridabad Monday morning. The victim is Sandhya (26), an English teacher at Saraswati Senior Secondary School in Sikrona. The accused identified as Amit (21) of Kot in Faridabad, was arrested by the police within a few hours.
Amit stabbed Sandhya after calling her outside on the pretext that her husband had come to meet her. He stabbed her more than 20 times in front of other teachers and students of the school. She lost her life before reaching the hospital.
Amit reached the school around 9.30 am. He covered his face partially with a scarf. He asked the school staff to inform Sandhya that her husband had come to see her. As soon as she reached the entrance of the classroom, the accused dragged her into the corridor. Sandhya screamed and the accused hit her. Later, he took out a knife and stabbed her in the neck and stomach. The police have also received CCTV footage of the incident.
Police sources said that Amit had planned the murder. The police also said that he bought the knife two months ago. Sandhya leaves behind her husband Vikas and two children, a five-year-old son and a three-year-old daughter.
