BENGALURU: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay offered prayers at the Sri Mookambika Temple in Kollur. Vijay reached the temple at around 3 pm on Friday. Former Tamil Nadu leaders M G Ramachandran and J Jayalalithaa had also visited the Kollur Mookambika Temple after becoming Chief Ministers. A high-level security arrangement was made for Vijay's visit. He arrived at the Mangaluru Airport from Delhi in a special flight at approximately 1.30 pm. From there, he travelled to the temple by road.

Vijay travelled around 120 kilometres by road. A special team of the Karnataka Police provided security during the journey. A 45-member police team from Tamil Nadu had earlier made security preparations in coordination with the police chiefs of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. Along with pilot and escort vehicles, eight cars followed the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s convoy during the visit.
