Actress Pritha Sengupta, professionally credited as Mokksha, expressed solidarity with students in the protest against NEET irregularities.

"This is a protest against those who have failed miserably in properly conducting the examination. The kin of the students who committed suicide over the exam irregularities should be given Ex gratia. The education minister needs to go. They have already portrayed me as a naxal for expressing solidarity with the protesters. I saw the comment and laughed. I fear that in Durandhar 3, we all will be portrayed as Pakistani agents.

Now, the real antisocial elements, traitors and demonic minds can be easily recognised from social media. Even my family and friends distanced themselves from me for my participation in the protest against the RG Kar rape case and several others. May your souls and consciences rest in peace. I am alone and will be, but I will not trade my ideology or conscience,' said Mokksha.

During the RG Kar protest, I was in Kerala. I took a flight and landed in Kolkata to take part in the protest. We were roughed up by the police and had to survive the tear gas treatment. A few videos of me from the protest went viral, and I was asked by the media to appear in interviews. I committed everything for the protest, and what happened? No development happened in the case. Trinamool destroyed much evidence in the case.

I don’t attend calls from the media anymore. I have witnessed firsthand their betrayal. They are salivating for TRP and bother less about the protest.
