BENGALURU: The shocking statement of the woman who brutally murdered her parents and younger sister with the help of her live-in partner, has emerged. She murdered her father Somasunder (55), mother Muthulakshmi (48) and sister Supriya (20). The murder was committed by Shwetha, Somasunder’s eldest daughter, a software engineer, with the help of her live-in partner Kenneth. Shwetha, who went on the run after the incident, was caught by the police from Puducherry. The woman said that she committed the murder because she did not get freedom at home.
‘My mother never gave me any freedom. I lived like a prisoner from high school until I graduated with an engineering degree. My friends and classmates would make fun of me and feel sorry for me. Despite having parents and a sister, I lived like an orphan. My mother's strict attitude filled me with hatred,’ Shwetha told police. Shwetha also told the police that she attacked the three with a knife. Meantime, the other accused, Kenneth, is still absconding.
The murder was committed at Sai Green Apartment in Dhamnik Layout, Seegehalli, under the KR Puram police station limits. When Shwetha and Kenneth reached home, only Muthulakshmi was at home. They got into a heated argument. In the meantime, Shwetha and Kenneth attacked her with a knife and killed her. Before Somasunder and Supriya returned, the accused washed away the blood stains. They also were murdered in a similar manner when they returned home.
Shweta had debts of around Rs 30 lakh. It is also reported that her parents' frequent questioning about the increasing debts had caused conflicts in the family.
