CHENNAI: A dispute arose over placing pictures of political leaders in the Karaikudi Corporation Council meeting. A verbal spat broke out between the councilors during the council meeting held. Meanwhile, independent councilor Meiyar came forward demanding that actress Trisha's picture be displaced. He said that Trisha has a big role in the change of government and Vijay becoming the chief minister, and therefore, he demanded that her picture be placed. Meiyar also said that Trisha is our future chief minister.
Everyone first laughed at Mayar's comment, but later it led to a big argument. DMK councillors pointed that present Chief Minister Vijay's picture is displayed in the halls of various corporations in Tamil Nadu along with the pictures of former Chief Ministers. With this, the DMK councillors started creating a ruckus, demanding that M K Stalin's picture be displayed.
With this, the AIADMK councillors also stepped forward protesting. They demanded that the pictures of former chief ministers Jayalalithaa and Edappadi K Palaniswami be displayed in the hall. The pictures they brought were displayed in the hall. With this, DMK leader and deputy mayor Gunasekar and other councillors hung Stalin's picture.
