Dispute over bike noise turns fatal; Youth stabbed to death, man, three sons arrested

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 22-year-old youth was stabbed to death amidst a dispute over the noise of a bike in Neyyatinkara. The dead is Manu of Kottukal Kannaravila. Four including Manu's neighbors, a man and his three sons, have been arrested in the incident. Biju and his sons Ambadi, Mithun, and a 17-year-old youth are those arrested.

The incident happened last night at 9.30 pm. Manu got into an argument with Ambadi and the 17-year-old youth, who was racing his bike in front of his house and making noise. The argument later escalated into a fight. Enraged by this, they with the help of the other accused stabbed Manu. The injured Manu was immediately taken to the hospital in Neyyattinkara, but his life could not be saved.

The Neyyattinkara police have registered a murder case and arrested the accused. The body of Manu is kept in the mortuary of the Neyyattinkara General Hospital.
