Instagram influencer 'Ambili' arrested for allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting minor

VADAKKANCHERY: An Instagram influencer who had been absconding in a case involving the alleged sexual assault of a minor girl and her subsequent pregnancy has been arrested. The Vadakkanchery police arrested Vignesh Krishna alias Ambili (24), a native of Kumbalangad, from Kodathoor in Salem’s Dharmapuri.

According to the police, the accused had invited the 15-year-old girl, who was his fan, to his house and allegedly drugged her, making her unconscious before sexually assaulting her. The girl is now five months pregnant.

The accused went into hiding after the girl's family lodged a complaint with the police. He was arrested from Kodathoor during the investigation. Vignesh Krishna is also a POCSO accused in another case involving the alleged sexual assault of a girl in 2021.
