KANNUR: CPM central committee member E P Jayarajan has distanced the party from Arjun Ayanki, a criminal case accused now remanded. Jayarajan said that Arjun Ayanki is not a party member and that those supporting him on social media are also unlikely to be party members.
‘Arjun Ayanki..Is he the party? If someone says that he is the party, everyone will understand that it is not true. What can we do if someone claims that they themselves are the party? That is how this should be viewed here as well. There is a plan work to get likes and support on social media. Those who support him on social media are not party members,’ said Jayarajan.
Earlier, M V Jayarajan had also stepped forward against Arjun Ayanki. He said that Ayanki should be dealt with firmly and that the police should go wherever he is and arrest him. He said the party does not need any support from quotation gangs. If anyone is prepared to support Ayanki, they should be considered supporters of such quotation gangs, he said. Jayarajan also said that when Ayanki claimed that he had grown through the party, he was referring to a quotation party, and that he could not have been referring to the party, which had disowned him.
Arjun Ayanki responded to M V Jayarajan's remarks by referring to his own history and background of party activities.
