75th Death Anniversary of Dr Palpu: Pioneer in fight against caste discrimination

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Today marks the 75th death anniversary of Dr Palpu, who courageously fought against caste discrimination and social inequality, and guided the oppressed sections of society toward spiritual progress through the teachings of Sree Narayana Guru. The occasion will be commemorated today under the auspices of various Sree Narayana organizations.

During a time of intense caste discrimination in Travancore, Dr Palpu was one of the few from the Ezhava community to study the English language. His contributions to the growth and development of the Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam, which has now flourished and gained prominence globally, are highly commendable.
