Malayalam filmactor SI Rajasekharan passes away

KOCHI: Actor Rajasekharan, the Malayalam actor known for portraying police roles on screen, passed away on Sunday. In his film career, Rajasekharan mostly essayed the role of a police officer and was given the sobriquet SI Rajasekharan by his peers.

Rajasekharan breathed his last at his residence in Chingavanam in Kottayam. The movies he acted in include Sandarbham, Rajavinte Makan, Vazhiyorakazchakal, Nair Saab, Mudra, Sethurama Iyer CBI, Thappana, No 20 Madras Mail, Parassala Pachan Payyannur Paramu, and Oru Second Class Yathra. Apart from movies, Rajasekharan was also active in television serials.

Rajasekharan was a regular presence in the movies of hit-maker Joshiy. Actor Mammootty paid last respects to the actor in a Facebook post.
