Drunk group drives car into Nabi Day rally in Alappuzha; three children injured

ALAPPUZHA: Three children were injured after a car allegedly driven by a group of drunk men crashed into a Nabi Day procession at Kallakadavu in Chengannur, Alappuzha. The children were participating in the procession when the incident occurred.

The injured have been identified as Anudev, a native of Elavumthitta in Pathanamthitta, Anuraj from Venmani and Abin from Mezhuveli.

Police took all three occupants of the car into custody. According to police, all three were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. A case has been registered against them. Police also found liquor bottles inside the car during an inspection.
