THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Supplyco’s turnover in the Onam market has crossed Rs 422.17 crore, according to figures recorded up to 4 pm on Tuesday. The turnover has already surpassed the Rs 385.42 crore recorded over 35 days during the previous government’s tenure, marking a recent record for the organisation.
Last year, Thiruvonam fell on September 5, and Supplyco recorded a turnover of Rs 385.42 crore during the 35-day period from August 1 to September 4, 2025. This year, it has recorded a turnover of Rs 350.21 crore in just 25 days from August 1.
The increase comes despite no price hike for most subsidised items, while the prices of several products were reduced. The higher turnover has been attributed to increased public reliance on Supplyco compared with previous years. The price of coconut oil was reduced by Rs 20. Supplyco earned Rs 100 crore from coconut oil sales alone last year.
