Luck favours Muthu agency again; Rs 30 crore 'bumper' heading to Chakkarakkal in Kannur

KANNUR: The winning ticket is out, but the Onam Bumper winner is yet to be located. The first prize of Rs 30 crore went to ticket number TL 360615, sold at Chakkarakkal in Kannur. The winning ticket was sold through the P.V. Valsarajan Thampuran lottery stall; the ticket was originally procured from the Muthu Lottery Agency in Chakkarakkal.

Aneesh M.V. is the agent. Speaking to the media, Aneesh expressed happiness at having sold the Rs 30 crore winning ticket. Aneesh said he has been active in the lottery sales business for 18 years. Aneesh's agency had previously sold a winning ticket for the Christmas-New Year Bumper as well. He owns six lottery shops.

Meanwhile, three of the second-prize-winning tickets were purchased from 'Bhagavathy Agency' outlets located in Pazhavangadi, Kallambalam, and Vyttila. The prize amounts are Rs 1 crore each for the second prize, Rs 25 lakh for the third, Rs 5 lakh for the fourth, and Rs 2 lakh for the fifth.

“I believe the winner would be from the Taliparamba region. If asked my opinion, I would say that the winner should stay calm and claim the prize without attracting any attention. It is also crucial that he invest the money properly rather than splashing it on extravagance,” said Aneesh.

Additionally, prizes of Rs 5,000, Rs 2,000, Rs 1,000, and Rs 500 are also available. If one wins the first prize of Rs 30 crore, the most important step is to notify the Lottery Department immediately. Once the necessary procedures are completed and the lottery ticket is submitted along with the required documents, the prize money will be credited to the bank account within approximately 15 to 20 days.
