CM to meet visitors in Secretariat only three days a week; restrictions from September 2

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: New arrangements have been made on visitors meeting the chief minister at the Secretariat. The Chief Minister’s Office issued a press release informing the changes. Visitors will be able to meet the chief minister from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, except on public holidays.

On these three days, the chief minister will first meet senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and those with physical difficulties in person at the Grievance Redressal Cell on the Secretariat premises. He will meet other visitors at his office only after this. Those who have obtained appointments in advance will also be able to visit the office and meet the chief minister during this time. The press release mentioned that the new arrangement will come into effect from Wednesday, September 2.

The chief minister’s office informed that the new system has been introduced to enable people arriving from other districts to meet the chief minister and submit their complaints more quickly, while also avoiding overcrowding. Even on days when the chief minister is not at the Secretariat, the public can submit complaints directly at the Grievance Redressal Cell. Officials specially assigned for the purpose will receive complaints from the public between 3 pm and 5 pm.
