Monthly pay-off case: ED resumes questioning

KOCHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has resumed questioning in the monthly pay-off case. The agency questioned former auditors of CMRL yesterday and will question the company’s general manager today.

A.K. Muraleekrishnan and A.K. Bhageshkumar, who served as auditors during the period when the monthly pay-off transactions took place, were questioned again. The ED is understood to have sought further details and explanations regarding their audit reports. The ED has also issued a notice to CMRL General Manager Manohardas, asking him to appear before the agency today.
