THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The price of one sovereign of gold increased by Rs 200 as gold prices in the state recorded yet another spike on Friday. With this, the price of one sovereign of gold today is Rs 1,03,840. The price for one gram increased by Rs 25 to reach Rs 12,980. Today, 18-carat gold is priced at Rs 10,720 per gram. With this, one sovereign of 18-carat gold is priced at Rs 85,760.

The highest gold rate this month is Rs 1,14,560, recorded in the first three days of June. However, the price fell in the following days. Although the price of gold reached the lowest rate of this month of Rs 1,02,760 per pound yesterday, the wavering trend saw another small spike on Friday.

The price of gold in the international market is currently trading at $4,001 per ounce. The financial world is eagerly waiting to see whether the price of gold will rise or fall in the coming days. The situation has been unpredictable for the past few days.
