'Promiscuity, feminism or freedom'; Daya Sujith posts new reel, Manju Pillai with sly response

A video shared by vlogger Shefina, harshly criticising the attire choice made by actress Manju Pillai's daughter Daya Sujith, led to a big discussion on social media. Shefina criticised the video shared by Daya, calling it promiscuous, which she said could end up negatively influencing other kids. The criticism was against Daya's new transition video. The vlogger even questioned Manju Pillai for not teaching her daughter manners.

“These kids of today believe that wearing less clothes gives them upliftment and more freedom. Is this feminism? Is this freedom? Is Manju Pillai not seeing what her daughter is up to on Instagram? This is not fashion. Modernism has got into her head. Daya’s attire did not feel to me like fashion but rather as insulting womanhood,’ said Shefina.

After the video was strongly criticised, Shefina deleted it but stood firm on her stance.

Meanwhile, Daya chose to respond to criticism slyly, using the dialogue from the popular Malayalam movie Godfather. Daya also appeared in a more chic manner with a sleek attire in the reel. It is said that the reel was a response to critics, and especially the vlogger, for meddling with others' personal choices. Manju Pillai also shared the post.

Daya also shared an old reel of hers on her Instagram story, saying, 'I felt like I should break up with some people after seeing their actions, but I'm holding back because I think the media will criticise me because my parents are famous.' After the issue went viral, many actors and activists came to support Daya.

With the issue going viral, Shefina came up with an explanation saying that she liked Daya, but the criticism was just for the attire chosen.
