Human remains found in Paravur; suspected to belong to missing POCSO case accused

KOLLAM: Human remains suspected to be those of a man have been found in Paravur, Kollam. The remains were discovered near the Polachira pump house. Preliminary information suggests that the body parts may have been there for more than two months. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.

Police suspect that the man may have died by suicide after hanging himself from a tree in the uninhabited area. A skull and some parts of a skeleton were found at the spot. Police said the identity of the deceased can be confirmed only after scientific examination.

Police suspect that the remains could belong to an accused in a POCSO case registered by Chathannoor police. The man’s bike was found near the pump house around two months ago. The investigation has so far found no information about his whereabouts.
