KAVYA IN CUSTODY

KOZHIKODE: Kavya, the school teacher arrested in the Vadakara drug case, was dismissed from her job on Monday. Kavya, who was a special educator at Perambra BRC, was dismissed from the school based on a police report received against her. Keerthana, another accused in the case, was dismissed by the BRC earlier. Keerthana was a specialist sports teacher at the Perambra Block Resource Centre.

The two teachers arrested in the drug case were working at the school on a contract basis. Colleagues at the school are shocked by the arrest. The teachers said that Keerthana and Kavya were friends and always went out together.

The arrested Keerthana was always at the forefront of anti-drug activities. Colleagues also stated that she had also conducted Zumba classes in connection with the anti-drug activities.

Meanwhile, more information is coming out in the drug dealing case. It has been discovered that the accused Keerthana and Kavya were involved in drug dealing in a very planned manner. Those who needed drugs used to send money to the accused's account. They used to deliver drugs to the location. Lakhs of rupees had arrived in their account. An investigation also started regarding a doubt whether the duo purchased a luxury car with the money acquired through the sale of drugs.
