Kerala Kaumudi to host 'FADACOP' health conclave in Thrissur Today; Minister K Muraleedharan to inaugurate

THRISSUR: The Kochi and Thrissur units of Kerala Kaumudi are jointly organising a major health conclave titled 'FADACOP' today, at the Hyatt Regency in Thrissur. Marking the 115th anniversary of the publication, the conclave is scheduled to commence at 2:00 PM and will be formally inaugurated by Kerala Health Minister K. Muraleedharan. The event will focus extensively on prevalent lifestyle diseases, specifically fatty liver, diabetes, cholesterol, and blood pressure.

Prabhu Warrier, the Deputy Editor of Kerala Kaumudi and Chief of its Kochi and Thrissur units, will deliver the introductory speech at the event, while Rajan Pallan, MLA, will attend as the chief guest. During the function, Minister Muraleedharan will unveil the cover page of 'Medi Beats', a specialised book published by Kerala Kaumudi featuring 115 prominent doctors. The minister will also release 'Snehakkoodu', a book authored by Dr. Jacob John, and honour individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the healthcare sector. Following this, Prabhu Warrier will present the publication’s token of appreciation to the minister.


The conclave will feature an interactive session between the health minister and Leo Radhakrishnan, Deputy Editor of Kaumudy TV and Digital Platforms. This will be followed by a dedicated interactive session between the minister and various healthcare experts. The event will conclude with a comprehensive panel discussion involving leading health professionals, which will be inaugurated by Rajan Pallan, MLA.


The expert panel includes Dr. Gopikumar, President-Elect of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Kerala; Dr. Rajeev Jayadevan, Convener of the IMA State Research Cell; Dr. K. Sojan George, Professor at the Amala Institute of Medical Sciences; Dr. K.S. Premlal, Managing Director of Arise Diabetes and Family Care, Thrissur; Dr. Ramkumar Menon, Managing Director and Head of the Neurosurgery Department at Athreya Hospital, Thrissur; and Dr. C.N. Mohanan Nair, Senior Consultant in the Oncology Department at Ernakulam Medical Centre. Leo Radhakrishnan will serve as the moderator for the discussion, and V.K. Subhash, Deputy General Manager (Marketing) of Kerala Kaumudi, will deliver the vote of thanks.
