KOCHI: To bolster regional efforts against drug trafficking, Ramesh Chennithala announced plans to meet with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor Vijay at 12 pm to seek support for the 'Operation Toofan: The Narco Hunt' initiative. Chennithala, who was inaugurating the 'Toofan Warrior' program at Rajagiri Christu Jayanthi Public School in Kochi, expressed optimism that the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister would extend his cooperation to the campaign.

Addressing the collaborative nature of the mission, Chennithala stated that he has already engaged in discussions with the Directors General of Police from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Puducherry to establish a robust interstate defense against drug smuggling. He also confirmed that the matter had been discussed with Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.

During the event, Chennithala urged the youth to prioritize sports over illicit substances, framing athletics as a healthier form of passion. Reflecting on his own interest in football, he noted a personal shift in his fandom from Brazil to Argentina. He emphasized that the younger generation must cultivate a clear-minded approach to effectively lead the future of Kerala.
