Operation Toofan: Body builder held with MDMA

KOCHI: A body builder was arrested with 391 grams of MDMA. Mohammed Sadiq of Edathala was arrested in the search conducted as part of Operation Toofan. MDMA was seized from him following a search by the DANSAF team based on a confidential tip-off. The DANSAF team also claimed that Mohammed Sadiq is an associate of Kevin, an alleged drug-party dealer who had been arrested earlier by the police.

Transactions worth Rs 10 lakh had taken place through Sadiq’s bank account over the past one week. The officials will investigate whether the money is connected to narcotics trade. The DANSAF team has widened the probe, focusing on the youth’s friends.
