THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The AICC has decided to examine the criticisms levelled against the chief minister by UDF convenor Adoor Prakash. The AICC was surprised by the action of convening a press meet at the KPCC headquarters. There are hints that complaints expressing dissatisfaction with the chief minister’s style of functioning had already reached the AICC.
AICC general secretary Deepa Dasmunsi will investigate the existing complaints and brief the party leadership. Reports say that Deepa had earlier informed the high command about the lack of coordination between the party and the government.
Speaking to the media, Adoor Prakash said the criticism he made against the chief minister the other day was based on his own experience and that he had not sought anyone’s support. He said that he is firm on his stand and clarified that he has no objection in giving the chairman post of the Administrative Reforms Commission to the League. The UDF convenor is presently at his residence in Adoor.
Meanwhile, the League leadership is unhappy with Adoor Prakash’s remarks. P J Joseph is also said to be dissatisfied with the delay in deciding the board chairman posts. The UDF convenor had the other day openly stated that he had learned about several decisions, including the appointment of the chairman of the Administrative Reforms Commission and the government’s special representative in Delhi, through media.
He had also said that he was appointed as the UDF convenor by the AICC leadership and that he would formally convey his dissatisfaction to the leadership in writing. Meantime, the faction supporting V D Satheesan is considering to submit an alternative letter if Adoor Prakash lodges his complaint.
