
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rainfall across Kerala over the next five days and has issued orange and yellow alerts for several districts. An orange alert has been declared for Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, and Malappuram districts on June 3.
On June 4, an orange alert has been issued for Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram, and Kozhikode districts. The IMD has warned of very heavy rainfall at isolated places in these districts. Very heavy rainfall refers to precipitation ranging from 115.6 mm to 204.4 mm within 24 hours.

The IMD has forecast heavy rainfall at isolated places in these districts. Heavy rainfall refers to precipitation between 64.5 mm and 115.5 mm within 24 hours.
The weather department has also warned of thunderstorms accompanied by rain in various parts of the state during the forecast period.
