Vending machines, postal delivery: Aravana distribution at Sabarimala to get digital upgrade

SABARIMALA: Travancore Devaswom Board president K. Jayakumar said vending machines would be introduced for the distribution of Aravana prasadam during the pilgrimage season. He also said a proposal to deliver Aravana to devotees’ homes through the postal service, as required, was under consideration if crowds increased at Sannidhanam or Aravana became less readily available. Discussions with the Department of Posts have begun in this regard.

The vending machines will be installed in addition to the existing Aravana counters at Sannidhanam. Six machines will be set up near the Aravana counters with the support of South Indian Bank. Devotees will be able to obtain Aravana from the machines by scanning a QR code and making the payment.
