Stray dog bites two devotees in Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Two devotees were bitten by a stray dog in Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple. The temple employees who drove the dog away were also injured. Two from north Indian were attacked by the dog outside the northern gateway of the temple (vadakke nada) last night at around 9:30 pm.

The employees chased the dog which entered the temple through the western gate (padinjare nada). The dog which ran outside through the vadakke nada bit the two men who were standing in front of the post office after darshan. The dog bit on their legs. They later sought treatment at the General Hospital. The dog attacked four people when they tried to catch the animal. The temple guards sustained scratches on their bodies. The dog was later caught from the kizhakke nada and handed over to the corporation.
