THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An IT manager based in Thiruvananthapuram went through a shock when he opened the apartment door to see police officials waiting to barge inside. Very soon, he was arrested after police found that the manager, apart from his lucrative job, had a passion for cultivating cannabis near the bedroom window of his flat. Vishal (26), a native of Haryana and a manager of a leading IT company in Technopark, was arrested.

Police found around 70 cannabis plants during a search of the apartment. The search was conducted following information received as part of Operation Toofan.

Vishal said that he had grown cannabis in the flat for his own needs, that he would grind cannabis leaves and drink them by mixing them with milk. He also admitted to grinding the cannabis leaves into a paste and using it.
