Three of a family killed in KSRTC bus-auto collision

VYTHIRI: Three of a family were killed after a KSRTC bus and an auto collided at old Vythiri in Wayanad. The dead has been identified as Narayanan (44) of Cheeral Pazhoor Muchiyil, his wife Shiji (40) and son Aman (16).

The accident happened Monday morning. The Minnal bus, which was going from Thiruvananthapuram to Mananthavady, collided with the auto. The auto was completely destroyed by the impact. Narayanan died on the spot. His wife Shiji and son Aman were immediately rushed to Meppadi Moopen’s Medical College Hospital with serious injuries, but their lives could not be saved.

Traffic was disrupted on the national highway for some time following the accident. The bodies were sent for postmortem after inquest proceedings. The police have registered a case and an investigation has started.
