Never miss your free ride: Real-time tracking comes to Priyadarshini buses via CHALO

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Commuters across Kerala can now track 'Priyadarshini' bus services in real time using the Chalo mobile application, following the recent integration of the project into the platform. The app, which already supports various Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) services, now provides passengers with live updates on bus locations, specific routes, and estimated arrival times at upcoming stops through GPS tracking.

The implementation of this technology is designed to assist passengers in planning their travel more efficiently, effectively reducing the uncertainty and long waiting times often associated with daily commutes.

Regular commuters have welcomed the initiative. Divya, an employee at a private firm, noted that the lack of transit information previously made travel planning difficult. "Earlier, I never knew when the bus would reach the stop, so I often spent a lot of time waiting. Now I can check its location before leaving, which makes planning my journey much easier," she said.

To access these real-time features, users can download the Chalo app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and select their desired bus route or service.
