Driver collapses; woman killed after KSRTC bus goes out of control in Thrissur

THRISSUR: A woman was killed after being hit by a KSRTC bus that went out of control when its driver collapsed at the wheel. The accident occurred at around 7 a.m. on Monday at Puthukkad in Thrissur. The deceased has been identified as Bindu (49), a native of Kanjoor.

According to reports, the driver suddenly felt unwell while driving, causing him to lose control of the bus. The vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a shop along the national highway after hitting Bindu.

Locals who rushed to the scene found the driver unconscious inside the bus. Bindu, who sustained critical injuries in the accident, was immediately taken to a nearby hospital. However, she succumbed to her injuries despite efforts to save her.
