Marble slabs fall on workers while unloading lorry in Kozhikode; one dead, another injured

KOZHIKODE: In a tragic incident, a worker died after marble slabs fell on him while they were being unloaded from a lorry at Kattilapeedika in Vengalam, Koyilandy, Kozhikode. The deceased has been identified as Shibi (42), a native of Vakayad. Another worker, Sherin Lal (34), from Mannankavu, who was with Shibi, suffered serious injuries. He has been admitted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.

The accident occurred at around 11.30 pm on Sunday. The two workers were unloading marble slabs from a lorry for a newly constructed house when the slabs fell on them. The body of Shibi was shifted to the mortuary at Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.
