Youth arrested for 'sexually abusing 17-yr-old girl after promising to marry her

KOTTAYAM: A youth has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a 17-year-old girl after promising to marry her in Kottayam. During the incident, girl was in her cousin’s house at Vellathooval.

The arrested person is Ramapuram Kanjirampara native Abin (20).

According to the complaint, Abin lured the girl with the marriage promise and abused her.

Vellathooval police filed a case on the basis of the complaint lodged by her relatives. The accused was produced in the court and remanded.
