Youth dies after tree falls on house in Thrissur

THRISSUR: A youth died after a tree fell on his house in Manalur. The dead is Vishnu (27) of Thrishnath House in Manalur. The incident happened Saturday morning around 6 am.

Vishnu was staying in a tiled house. The family noticed the tree leaning on top of the house yesterday. Following that, Vishnu's mother Valliamma was shifted to a nearby house yesterday itself, but he was sleeping here.

The tree was uprooted in the heavy rains this morning. It fell on the upper part of the room where Vishnu was sleeping. The police and fire force reached the spot and pulled Vishnu out of the house after cutting the tree. He was immediately taken to the Thrissur District Hospital, but he was declared by then.
