Actor Mohanlal said that he will no longer helm the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA.) He added that he only thinks about his own mother now and let the office-bearers of the association resolve the internal issues themselves. There is no point in intervening in it, said the actor while speaking to a private channel.

His wife Suchitra and daughter, actress Vismaya Mohanlal, were also present with him. Vismaya shared her experiences of her debut film. Mohanlal advised his daughter that acting is a craft that must be learned and perfected through practice.

Vismaya had recently stated that she has not changed her stand in supporting the students who protested against the alleged irregularities in the NEET examination. She said she had spoken on the issue only after gaining a clear understanding of it and that she could not change the minds of those who misunderstood her remarks.

‘I can only control myself and can only control my own words and I cannot control anyone else. So, other people's reactions do not bother me. I don't want to waste my energy on them,’ said Vismaya.

She said this in an interview with a private television channel while promoting her debut film, ‘Thudakkam’. Her parents, Mohanlal and Suchitra, were with her. Both expressed their complete support for Vismaya's opinion. Mohanlal said that those who engage in cyberattacks often hide behind anonymous identities.

He also remarked that this is a time when people almost have to fear social media, but he chooses not to pay attention to such individuals. ‘I am the one who has faced the most attacks. Vismaya is an individual. She has every freedom to speak and express her opinions,’ said Mohanlal. He added that society has reached a stage where almost anything one says can become controversial, and that the problems increase as one's popularity grows. Let those who attack be happy, said Suchitra Mohanlal.
