N K Premachandran MP sustains injuries in fall during visit to Tanzania; to undergo surgery today

KOLLAM: Kollam MP N K Premachandran sustained injuries in a fall while coming out of the toilet. The incident happened in Tanzania where he has gone to attend the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) conference being held there.

The MP himself shared a photograph from the hospital on social media, along with a note stating that he had fractured his left wrist and doctors had advised to go surgery today. He is expected to be brought to Delhi this morning for the procedure.

‘During my visit to Tanzania to attend the IPU conference being held here, I slipped and fell while coming out of a roadside washroom and sustained injuries. I am presently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Tanzania. The fall resulted in a fracture on my left wrist. The doctors have advised surgery. As per their advice, I will arrive in Delhi tomorrow morning (09-10-2026) for the surgery.
