Monkey walks into liquor shop, downs Magic Moments and passes out on booze boxes; video goes viral

RANCHI: It seems one female monkey in Jharkhand had a rather unusual idea of happy hour. After wandering into a liquor shop, the animal picked up a bottle of Magic Moments, drank from it and eventually crashed out on top of liquor boxes for hours.

The bizarre incident took place at a liquor shop in Block Chowk, Ormanjhi, on Friday evening, around 7 pm. Employees on duty tried to drive the monkey out, but the animal turned aggressive and attacked them. With the staff forced to run away, the monkey was left to explore the shop on its own.

It soon got its paws on a bottle of Magic Moments and started drinking. Apparently satisfied with its choice, the monkey later climbed onto the liquor boxes and slept there for hours. By then, word of the unusual visitor had spread, and curious locals gathered outside the shop to capture the scene on their phones.

Videos of the monkey lying on the boxes quickly began doing the rounds on social media. The animal can even be seen occasionally opening its eyes and looking at the crowd filming it. Locals eventually alerted a rescue team, which arrived at the shop, took the monkey out and moved it to a safe location.
