THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former KPCC chief K Sudhakaran said that he fully accepts the high command's decision of selecting V D Satheesan as the chief minister. What is the point of continuing in the party if the high command's decision is not accepted. When asked by the media whether he had not requested the high command to consider K C Venugopal for the chief minister’s post, his reply was that for the Congress, KC and Satheesan are the two pillars of the party. He told the media that whoever the high command chooses, it is the same.
He said that he does not believe that Ramesh Chennithala will stay away from the legislative party meeting following the chief minister's decision and that the party has made a lot of use of his political legacy and that he wishes to continue to have it. He opined that he will be a strong spokesperson for any decision of the party and that he will have his full support for the new chief minister.
K Sudhakaran responded that he did not feel that the League had put pressure on V D Satheesan for the chief ministerial post and that they had expressed their opinion. K Sudhakaran said that he was not aware of the possibility of KC being considered for the AICC president post and that he would be with him in any decision taken together.
