'Met eight other young models, filmed nude videos'; Complainant makes shocking revelations

KOCHI: A complainant made shocking revelations in the case of trafficking women abroad under the guise of modelling. A complainant revealed that she was brutally tortured after being taken abroad. She said that after being knocked unconscious, several people sexually assaulted her and sent nude pictures to her family.

"They took me to Dubai after taking my money and mixed a white powder in my drinks. They forced me to drink it. After I lost consciousness, they physically abused me a lot. They called my house and badmouthed me, alleging that I was involved in immoral activity and had many visitors even late into the night. They also asked my family to disown me.

They took nude photos and sent them to my family. In Dubai, I was taken to a flat where I met eight other young women. They even threatened to kill my child. Finally, it was with the help of a relative that I returned home,” said the complainant.

It is reported that many young women have been victims of human trafficking and sexual harassment in Kochi under the guise of modelling. In addition to modelling, they were also offered high-profile jobs abroad. After being brought to Dubai, they would be taken to hotels, given drugs mixed in soft drinks, and made to lose consciousness before being exposed to men. Nude scenes would be filmed. The modus operandi was to threaten the aspiring models using nude photos and repeatedly torture.
