VS remains in critical condition, responding to medicines, say doctors

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan, who is undergoing treatment for heart attack, remains extremely critical. The doctors treating him said that his body is responding to medications. The medical board will meet again today to assess his health condition.

He is undergoing treatment at the SUT Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. There is no improvement in his heart and kidney function. His blood pressure is also not normal. The doctors are assessing his brain function. Hospital authorities have said that he will continue on ventilator.
